MAXCODE has chosen SCRUM as a project approach. A method that results in rapid and production-ready software deliveries with frequent improvements adding the most business value for the customer. It effects the way we work, communicate, report, and interact with the customer. The more precise the rules are followed, the better the results and the Return on Investment (ROI) are.
Everyone within MAXCODE is a member of one team. A member commits him or herself exclusively to this team's activities. So, a member is not distracted by activities outside his/her team. Each team consists of 5 to 6 persons, of which one team member is the SCRUM master. The team is trained in SCRUM and the SCRUM-master is certified. Local management constantly verifies if SCRUM is correctly being lived up to and if improvements are possible. Management can assist, coach, and correct on processes (Certified SCRUM Master) and on technique (Most Valued Professional).
The customer is represented by a Product Owner who has sufficient mandate and knowledge in order to take decisions, explain requirements, estimate the business value of specific functionality, and discuss above with stakeholders within and outside customer's organisation. This person is referred to as the Product Owner. In The Netherlands all employees are certified Product Owners (CSPO), which enables us to assist our customers in conducting this role.
